Solidarity camp

During the Chicago's teachers strike, loving parents, Hyde Park community members, and artists supporting children and teachers offered their time and creativity to provide a full day of engaging activities for children in Nichols park.

Thanks to all the support from the community, in the form of food donations, materials for art projects, indoor space, and most importantly, caring loving volunteers, more than thirty kids had a place to go during one week, all days long.
