Wednesday, February the 13th : Colored ice art

With colored ice cubes, the kids made sculptures, but also mosaics and experiments.

Who needs snowmen?

Especially when snow is not sticky enough, it's nice to have some kid imagination.
What about a porcupine or a giant snow snake?

By the way, our next workshop will be Wednesday, February the 13th, right after school at the Bixler playground.
We'll need you to get ready a tray of ice cubes it ice in any recyclable form and put a drop of food coloring inside, then bring it. And don't forget warm clothe to stand the cold.

Tuesday, February 5th : snow art

Hi friends.
Having at least enough snow to play with, we have to gather again and make art with all of you.
Let's meet at Bixler park (the Ray school big playground) Tuesday February the 5th after school with warm clothes.

Looking for volunteers

Hi friends.
It has been great to do all these fun art projects with you and your kids.
As Laura has to much to do these days, she won't be able to go on with the afterschool workshops.
I will be happy to organize the next one by myself, provided I'll get some ponctual help during the actual workshops. I have lots of ideas left, and materials to make those happen, but I do not have the motivation do do it alone.

So if any of you feel like coming after school to help the kids with projects, even just for one time, let me know, and I will be happy to do art in the park again!

Thursday, November 1st : spider web from old sheets

Even if it's cold outside, we'd like to go on and do art which is actually in the park.
Joins us this afternoon, 4-5pm, to weave a giant spiderweb in the trees of the Ray school playground.

Our effigies garden

The effigies turn out to be so great!
Come and have a look, they're in front of the Fenn House, 5638 S. Woodlawn Ave, along with giant spiderwebs (upcycled from old sheets).
